👋 Welcome Friend
Thanks for being hereMy name is Mike and I am an active participant in emergence
What happens when I get out of my own way?
Stepping down from the high tower of the mind
Bowing my head and stumbling into the humble narrow corridors of the heart
I find this is where emergence is
And it would be my greatest joy
To sit with you in that space
“Practically” speaking
I hope to be a bridge
Knowing that the process of walking it - eases sufferingCommitted contemplative practice, relational intelligence, and technical geekiness coupled with a love for business, building and facilitation.
All of these components have been and will continue to be a work in progress. My lifes work is to become a refuge through all avenues of expression.
Put simply, I am no longer interested in having these parts of my life seperate.
I am 34 years old
I've had accidental mystical experiences and states of deep concentrative absorbtion for as long as I can remember
I first wrote code when I was around 10 years old.
I've had a interest and practice of improving my communication and relational capacities since I was 20.
I began meditating when I was 22.
I began working professionally as a software engineer when I was 24.
I annually immerse myself in Buddhist monasteries, facilitate transformation in high-trust spaces and am a consultant for leaders and teams in software.
How I serve
I spend a quarter of the year in retreat, it's in these spaces that I get to touch something that is ineffable yet immensely impactful in my life. I study and practice the active internal process of presence, pattern and release.
The rest of my time, I am actively living what I've learned and trying to bring it into the world through the lens of service.
Whether in code, consciousness, or community - I feel rhythm in the underbelly of seeming disorder. I wait patiently, release expectation and if the moment asks for action, I act.
This is increasingly showing up in every area of my life. But for the sake of service, I am trying to funnel it into three areas:
I'd love to chat
I'm always open to chat about any of the topics I've spoken to or what you think I may be interested in!
Wether you are a technical leader, someone navigating the seeming dichotomy of spiritual life and “ordinary” life, or a brother who wants to start a men's circle or is seeking resources on men's work, reach out!
